Incidence of Shrinking Keratocytes in Patients with Granular Corneal Dystrophies

Abstract: A study of 10 corneas after penetrating keratoplasty.

Introduction: Granular Corneal Dystrophy is a serious disease that may result in severe visual decline.

Materials & Methods: Formalin and slides.

Results: Lots of stuff.

We also examined the incidence of cataracts in our study patients. They all had cataracts so Surgeon Mike performed phacoemulsification. All patients at 20/20 vision post-operatively.

Conclusions: The keratocytes were dysfunctional.
